Live the Fast and Furious Experience

The next great automotive adventure begins with the Forza Horizon 2 Presents Fast & Furious standalone expansion for Xbox One and Xbox 360. In Forza Horizon 2 Presents Fast & Furious, you’re recruited by the Fast & Furious’ Tej Parker (voiced in the game by Christopher “Ludacris” Bridges) to help him acquire ten special cars for his Fast & Furious crew – the same cars you see in the film Furious 7. Your goal is to acquire each of these cars by taking part in a series of automotive challenges inspired by the Fast & Furious films. From the 900-hp 1970 Dodge Charger to an armored 2013 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited and more, each of the cars in the Forza Horizon 2 Presents Fast & Furious standalone expansion is both stunningly accurate and amazingly fun to drive.

Start Your Engines!!

My experience with Forza is still new. I learned of Forza Horizon 2 and loved every minute of it! When I had to the chance to download this new expansion, I was like, “Ready, Set, Go!” This DLC package is great for fans of the Forza series as it adds new missions, new cars, and the same game, which is great for die-hard fans Forza fans looking for a weekend event as well as Xbox owners who have a ‘thing’ for Fast & Furious. The game itself is a prequel of sorts as your character is actually tasked with collecting the cars that would go on to be included in the feature film Fast & Furious 7.

Turn 10 & Microsoft Studios churned out another beauty in terms of graphics. The graphics were what hooked me in the beginning before the insane races even started. With Fast & Furious, the look is still super clean and flawless running at 60FPS and eye candy as far as the eye can see. Racing is pure fun with Forza Horizon as I learned. Race when you want and cruise whenever you don’t want serious action. The choice is yours. Online multiplayer returns and is still as simple as opening the online battle racing mode. I prefer solo racing but have lost a few and won a couple online. Either way, the game is a great racing sim mixed with action adrenaline. My favorite part of the expansion was my race against the chopper!

Race to the Finish

This is a great expansion and worth price of admission. The races, side missions, and cars are just enough to warrant a $9.99 price along with plugging the Fast & Furious name, it becomes a great DLC and a fun side-adventure to the movie. The only hiccup I have with the Forza series is its lack of customization and lack of decent music to choose from during free play. I get the lack of customization because this is more a sim game mixed with real cars and as realistic stats as possible. The lack of music options is again ugly not to notice. For such a beautiful game and pure fun game, music is its Achilles Heel. The negatives are nothing compared to the value I recommend purchase for Forza fans eager for more racing joy for the release of Forza 6. I also seriously recommend this expansion DLC for any newbie to the series. As a stand-alone expansion, racing fans new to the series can pick this up for some great racing fun before committing to the full Forza Horizon 2 game.
